Transdev Canada announces the acquisition of Lucien Bissonnette Inc, a school bus company based in the Greater Montreal area of Quebec.

Present in Quebec and Ontario, Transdev Canada already has 2,500 employees operating in the transit, student, paratransit and medical transportation sectors. Transdev is also the operator of the future Hurontario light rail system in the Greater Toronto Area, as a member of the Mobilinx consortium, and of the future Ontario Line metro as a member of the Connect 6ix consortium.

Now, with Lucien Bissonnette Inc, Transdev Canada is expanding its business with the addition of some 60 school buses in the Vaudreuil-Dorion regions. This acquisition is in line with the Transdev group’s growth strategy in Canada, with the aim of offering a range of multi-modal services for many communities, while remaining as close as possible to the specific needs of each territory. In addition, this acquisition will reinforce Transdev’s school transport electrification strategy in Quebec, which already has more than 30 electric school buses and has the same number on order.
